Highly Tecommend Stephen Oates!10/20/2009We had the privilege of working with Stephen Oates since January 2009 when we listed our house with Stephen at Coldwell Banker. We had, prior to listing with him listed our house with another agent that did not respond to any of our needs so we cancelled that contract and chose Stephen. Thank goodness we did because we are now living in our dream house.
Our home was consistently advertised in print as well as open houses. During the initial sales process from January to August until our condex on Arnold Lane sold he went above and beyond working to achieve a successful sale. He always kept in constant communication with us and we relied completely on his expertise to ‘stage’ our home for the best outcome. Without Stephen’s calm personality and never giving up attitude this emotional process would have been much more difficult.
During the last month in preparation for the sale we had to talk on a daily basis to be sure all of the documents were in order for the sale to be fulfilled. His knowledge saved the sale of our home, as he walked with us every step of the complex real estate way.
We feel as if he is a new member of our family now.
My husband and I so very highly recommend Stephen Oates. His expertise and incredible personality make selling and buying a wonderful process as it should be.

"They Were Always There"4/9/2009
Dear Jimmy & Betsy:
I dreaded putting our family home on the market. In fact I had put the task off, year after year, reluctant to let go of a home we had occupied for 18 years and one in which my children had flourished and grown. But finally, I couldn’t put it off any longer, and I interviewed a few Realtors, who did little to alleviate my anxieties. I felt it was always about making the sale to them. But Jimmy and Betsy Tarr seemed different right away. After we met and talked, I realized it was not only going to be about selling my house but also about building a relationship and working together on the desired outcome. Despite my many original misgivings—about the hassle of the process, the state of the housing market, and the difficulty of keeping our house constantly presentable for showings—the Tarrs were always there, whenever we needed them. They answered many questions, took many phone calls, looked after our dog during showings, and did whatever was necessary to make this a positive experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and nicer people to work with.
