NORTH QUABBIN GARLIC & ARTS FESTIVAL
October 1st & 2nd

The festival emphasizes what is homegrown, handmade and high quality, as well as what helps preserve and support the environment and the community. NORTHAMPTON JAZZ FESTIVAL
October 2nd - FREE Admission
Behind Thorne's Market, Main Street, Northampton
The festival will present free live music from 11AM to 8 PM in the parking lot behind Thornes Market and in Thornes Basement. Participants will include promising young players from Pioneer Valley high schools and colleges combined with established local artists, as well as several prominent groups from New York City. Attendees will not only be able to hear great music from the various participating groups and ensembles, but will also be given the opportunity to sample food, beer, and wine from some of the areas finest restaurants as well. Also there will be a "12 Mile Meal Celebrity Chef Throwdown" where area chefs battle each other using local ingredients to produce gourmet selections guaranteed to astonish festival attendees. CONWAY 50TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF THE HILLS
October 2nd
Center of Conway, Massachusetts
The Conway Festival of the Hills is an annual fall festival Conway, Massachusetts held the first weekend in October, rain or shine. Saturday pre-festival events traditionally include a pancake breakfast, bake sale and community turkey dinner. Sunday features a 10K road race, arts and crafts exhibits, live music, activities for kids, a parade, log-splitting and skillet-tossing contests, and food and wares from local vendors. All proceeds from the Festival go to support scholarships for local high school students. Read more . . .
